LOGO DESIGN PROCESS
Our process begins with your knowledge of the business, and our experience of converting this into exceptional visual representation.
1. Design brief.
We like our clients to take the time to run through a quick logo design brief form. It gives our team a good starting point along with save time and effort. Ensuring we get the best result for your company or business logo.
You will find our logo design brief here.
2. Research and brainstorming
After reviewing and clarifying the brief we then proceed to assess the overall positioning of the clients business within its market. Our team looks over what is happening with the competition, the particular market and trends within it, the points of difference the business has over competition and where the client wants to situate the business both now and in the future.
3. Initial concept sketching.
Ideas can flow freely and evolve on paper or computer depending on our designers. This stage of the process is rough which needs refining depending on which ideas we will take through to the next stage to do up and present for the client. We don't present the sketches to the client as often they are only a concepts require a bit of imagination.
4. Refined Concepts
The next stage requires taking the concepts and developing more mature concepts. We typically work our logo designs in a vector based format, depending on the required future usage of the logo and allowing no resolution loss when blown up to a large format.
5. Client presentation.
We prepare our concepts in pdf form. These can either be emailed or presented in person. The client can review and then offer feedback / general thoughts on them. We can discuss these concepts and work out what is required to continue with the process.
6. Developments and Signoff.
Where required, we work in any developments as discussed with the client. Now is often a good time to assess colours and options for fine tuning the logo. We then re-present to the client for signoff.
7. File creation and supply.
As mentioned, we create all logos in vector format, so that files can be scaled and used in many situations. Files are supplied in multiple formats appropriate for all standard requirements. In conjunction with these we logo specification guide, which specifies colours and also any fonts used if appropriate. This becomes a reference tool for anybody using the logo in future and ensure consistency in its use.
8. Applications of the logo.
From here the next step is to apply the logo across marketing material for your business. These can include business cards, corporate stationery, websites, vehicle signage, advertising… and the list goes on which we offer in our branding packages or as separate design and printing jobs.
